🚧 ROADWORK NOTICE | BAYNES ROAD TRAIL PAVING

Please be advised that paving work along the Baynes Road trail is scheduled for Thursday, October 15, beginning at 7:30 AM, weather permitting.

📍 Areas affected:
✈️ Apron II parking lot crossings
🚗 Airport Road near Gate 1B
🛣️ Baynes Road, from Airport Way northbound toward Apron II

Please anticipate temporary delays while crews complete paving in these areas. Vehicles will be able to drive over newly paved sections approximately one hour after paving is completed at each location.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation!

What were you doing at 10:23 a.m. on October 14, 1947? 🚀

Chuck Yeager was busy breaking the sound barrier. ✈️

Flying the rocket-powered Bell X-1 “Glamorous Glennis,” Yeager reached Mach 1.06 and became the first pilot to fly faster than the speed of sound.

Even cooler? The X-1 was air-launched from a B-29 bomber before firing its rocket engine and climbing toward its supersonic test run.

October 14, 1947, was one small flight with one HUGE impact on aviation history. 🚀
