One of the questions we hear most from planners: what about getting to Penticton?✈️

Penticton Regional Airport is eight minutes from downtown, with direct service from Vancouver and Calgary. And yes, some delegates drive, just like they do for conferences in Banff, Whistler, and every other destination that is not a major urban centre.

The difference is that once your group arrives in Penticton, everything is walkable. No shuttles, no ride coordination. The hotel, the venue, the downtown, all of it within easy reach.

The BC Provincial Mine Rescue and First Aid Competition is underway in Penticton today and tomorrow.

More than 12 six-member teams from mines across BC are competing at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, putting rescue skills, first aid knowledge, and teamwork to the test. The competition is free for spectators.

Penticton is proud to host this event in 2026 and again in 2027. A big thank you to the City of Penticton, the PTCC, the Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals, and the Mining Association of BC for making it happen.
