Spotting Alert

There will be a flyover at Saturday’s Red Black’s football game

“One CF-18 arrival this evening at YOW around 6:45PM.

Additionally, two CF-18 Hornets will be visiting YOW around noon on Monday. Departure time should be not long after arrival as it's supposed to just be a fuel stop”

These weekend CF-18 Hornet visits are quite a bonus.

Shout out to Koster Photography for the info.

Good follow

Mr. Wile E. Coyote was spotted wandering around the Alert Road snow dump area today. There appears to be a healthy population of coyotes in that part of the city, likely keeping an eye out for the elusive Road Runner. 😊

They haven’t bothered any spotters, but please remember not to leave food, garbage, or other items behind when visiting.

There are garbage cans available at both spotting areas.

Unfortunately, littering was one of the reasons the Leitrim Road spotting area was eventually fenced off. 🤬

Foreign Object Debris (FOD) can also pose a hazard to aircraft operations, so let’s do our part to keep these areas clean and accessible.

If we want to continue enjoying these spotting locations, a little respect and cleanup go a long way.

A couple of photos from the Nav Canada Tower area which is right across from 07.

I’ve been to visit once in a while, my favourite place by far. I believe year and years back, the complex was open to the public. No longer though considering security concerns in these bizarre times. If you have ever get the chance, it’s enjoyable. The NavCan employees are

The first photo of course is the one RCAF Chinooks from the other day, so low.

The Air Canada A321 was about to line up for takeoff on 07
