Work started this week to remove and dispose of the old tired O-300 engine on C-FMVU... New it was rated at 145Hp, but I doubt it was making more than 120Hp; climb, cruise, take-off roll was all affected and lacking. Enter the new Lycoming Engines O-360 rated at 180Hp, with a full firewall forward kit and STC from Air Plains Services, Corp. 3 days into the instal and the new engine is hanging from the firewall, just a couple more working days and we'll fire it up. Full video series coming in January 2027.
