A closer look at a STARS Air Ambulance landing at our airport — CFX2 Okotoks Air Ranch — during an emergency patient transfer from our community. 🚁
These helicopters can travel at speeds of around 250–280 km/h, helping bring critical care closer when it’s needed most.
Alongside the helicopter, local ground rescue crews were also part of the transfer.
It’s something we don’t see every day — but when it happens, it’s a reminder of how important access and proximity are, even outside major city centres.
This is one of the ways our compact, easy-to-access airport contributes to the wider community.
