What's in the box - wardrobe boxes. It's pretty clear what these are used for. Bronte Movers offers wardrobe boxes free of use for your move day. We also understand perhaps you may need to store for a bit and will need to use these boxes for a little longer then just the day. No problem, we charge a $20 refundable deposit. These boxes are also great just to have in your home allowing you to have that bit of extra closet space with out the closet.👚👕👗👘🏠

What's in the box: picture or mirror boxes.
This I'm sure is self explanatory as to what would go into one of the boxes.🕵️‍♀️ Bronte Movers offers the free use of these boxes for you to use on move day. 🆓 Sizing for the right box is the trick to using these boxes to the full benefit. A SMALL🤏 picture box measures - 37.5" W x 4" D x 32" H. (3' x 2.5') Typically you will be bale to fit up to two pictures per box. A LARGE🫸 🫷 box measures - 42.5'W x 4" D x 36"H and can be extended to 70" H.
Now lets talk about how to pack any pictures you put in those boxes. Two ways; you can bubble wrap🫧 the pictures before placing them into the box. The most common way is to take packing paper🗞 crunch it up in to the bottom of the box, slide your picture or pictures in, taking more paper to stuff the sides and then along the top. The box should be tight with paper not with the picture it's self. The paper or bubble wrap is to reduce movement of the piece while in the box. No movement means less chances of damage.

What's in the box: 5 Cube
Did you know you can fit a whole bedding set pillows and all into a 5 cube box.
The 5 cube is mostly used for items such as linins and clothing. 🛏🩳🧥
It can use used to pack the larger items you may have around the house but please remember to try and keep the box light by not adding too much on top of a larger item.
When professional packers use this box we do not add a lot of heavy items in to here and we do would really only use it for larger items that may need that bit of extra room, packing the item alone with a lot of paper.
Another favorite item we like to use this box for is pictures🖼, stacking them in the box like dishes in a draining tray.

What's in the box: 4 cube.
4 cube boxes are the standard next size up from the 2 cube box.
For packing we use this box for a large variety of items, with this being a larger size box we must always be careful how heavy we make the box. Depending on how early you begin to pack you may have to live among these boxes for a bit, and if you need to move them it can be difficult if the box is too heavy.
Kitchen: this box is great for items such as: baking sheets, Tupperware, pots and pans, small cooking appliances, larger food items.
Bathroom: pretty much everything in the bathroom will fit in here, things such as toilet plungers may have to be set an an angle in the box but they can fit.
Living rooms: table lamps (with shades removed they should go into a 2 cube box alone), gaming systems, and other electronics devices, larger fragile items (make sure they are packed in with LOTS of paper or padding)
Bed rooms: table/ desk lamps, desk and side table contents, clothing
Closets / laundry rooms / storage rooms: shoes, winter accessories, reusable shopping bags, laundry / cleaning supplies.

Remember not to make the boxes to heavy🤬 and when packing fragile items🥂 make the box full📦 and tight with paper📰 not stuff, and tape shut with good packing tape.

I would like to take some time and talk about packing, in my new segment called: what's in the box?
Let's start with the 2 cube box. The smallest of the boxes you should be using when packing up your house, I know those liquor🍾 boxes are free but too many of those will actually slow down your move.
I want to start out by saying all boxes need to be taped shut with a good quality tape to avoid the box from spilling open during the move.
The Two cube can be used for so many items: First off - heavy items, such as books📚, vinyl collections, movies 🎥(yes some people still have those). Keep those heavy items in smaller boxes. Most people start to sort and pack long before they move, you will be living with those boxes for a bit. If you need to move them it is a lot easier to move a small heavy box then it is to move a large heavy box.
Next is Fragile items - plates🍽 glass wear🥂🥃, and our fragile treasures👑💍 through out the house. Packing with lost of paper📰 to protect all of those items while in transit. We want the box full with paper not full with stuff. Always mark boxes "FRAGILE" for the movers.
Food is another item most commonly packed into that size box, again canned food🛢 and baking ingredients🍪🍩🧁 can get heavy fast if you put them in a larger box. It's also much easier to pack your spices in the smaller boxes and know they will remain upright⬆️ and contained. Never lay glass on it's side, the chances of brakeage increase.

Those a few of the most common items to put in the 2 cube box. Next time we will look at the next size up the 4 cube and what we put in that.
And remember if this all seems like too much and you have no desire to pack at all let Bronte Movers take care of it for you. We charge by the box not by a flat rate.

Looking for something to do this weekend 👀Supercrawl is happening in Hamilton, September 12, 13 & 14th. James St is completely blocked off with tons of artist, clothing, and food. Along with performances each day and night by so many artisits and performers. The is something for everyone, and don't miss the visiting food trucks and local restaurants in the area.
