While in Skagway we also has time to browse the stores and do some shopping and also ate some delicious food. We got a famous fried dough (similar to beavertails that we have in Canada) and from Olivia's we tried their bread and spread which was a delicious salmon dip. So yummy. We had a great day with the hiking, biking and exploring there.

For our excursion in Skagway we biked down a mountain. We drove up by van to the Canadian border and got let off with our bikes. There were 5 of us plus our guide. We weren't allowed to use our phone at all while biking but we stopped a few times for some photo opportunities. We saw the White Pass train going through the mountains, we've done that before (highly recommend). I can say I'm an international cyclist now as we had to cross the border by bike. The tour was led by the Sockeye Cycle Co and was really well done. It was a really fun experience.

Our 2nd port day we visited Skagway Alaska. We had a full day here. We had an excursion booked for the afternoon that I'll tell you more about later but in the morning we got off the ship and walked a couple of nature trails in the area.

After taking the gondola back down from the top of Hoonah Mountain in Icy Strait Point Alaska we walked the short nature trail to the water and hiked part of the way to Hoonah to enjoy the views. We spotted a few eagles along the way. After that we returned to the port area and browsed some of the shops before heading back onboard.
