This boat needs some TLC!
We started with the bottom. Layers of built up grime and hard water stains. That orange colour is now white again.
The deck and hull will undergo a restoration, removing the heavy oxidation that makes the finish so dull. Cleaning has been done and the machine will be spinning soon! Can't wait to see the difference!

This Sea Ray had some worn down and non-existent caulking. We stripped what was there and applied a fresh bead of sealant above and below the rub rail all the way around. Wow! She looks brand new again after a polish and some fresh white lines!

Our racing client has a slick shiny hull, and is ready for launch!
Once again, the difference is amazing!
Two years ago, we did a heavy compound to restore his hull to this level of clarity and shine.
In just two years, this is how much oxidation can accumulate on a vessel if nothing is done to protect it and maintain it each season.
When the finish is restored like this, regular washing and especially pre-launch waxing or a light polish will maintain this finish.
Another one down, onto the next!

The truth about polishing:

There are many providers who offer " high speed gloss polish" services.
Polishing like this is a great way to give a shine to your vessel.
BUT, it does NOT remove the oxidation. It mostly hides it.
The process of removing oxidation requires slower machine work to cut it.
A small high speed buffer with a foam pad is what I see a few companies using. This is just a gloss, which is meant as a finishing item.
It comes at a cheaper price, but the oxidation that sits beneath still eats away at your gelcoat. Once the shine fades, you're left with patchy spots that need - another polish!
This keeps companies going since their clients require yearly polishing services.
While we love the work, we'd rather our clients call every 2-3 years because we did our job by cutting the oxidation and providing a finish that lasts 2+ years before the need for anything beyond freshening up is needed.

Not all polishing is equal. We restore gel coat. We don't cover up the patchy spots with gloss. We remove them.

Will you pay a little more? Yes. But when you spend to correct the finish, you'll save by not needing much more than a wash and wax for the next couple seasons.

We don't hide oxidation. We remove it.
