Oh turnbuckles...wherefore art thou? FYI to all customers - turnbuckles are on back-order all over Canada...thank you everyone for your patience! I have dozens of half-made shrouds and furlers just waiting to go :)

Do you KNOW how old your rigging is? I am getting reports of folks being denied Marine insurance unless they replace all their standing rigging (especially in cases of lapsed insurance - or if you buy an old boat).

If you don't know the age of your rigging - chances are it is TOO old. Conversely - you could also have your rigging professionally inspected - which I believe insurers will accept as well.

We insure the integrity of our rigging under normal wear and tear - but be sure that you regularly inspect yours for loose clevis pins, questionable cotter pins, and bent split rings - these tiny bits can bring down your mast if they fail or come undone!
