This photo slid into our DMs with little more than: “Hey, I have an old photo of one of your trucks.”
And sure enough, it does look like one of ours. The colours are right, the stripes are right, but somewhere along the way, the name on the door disappeared.
Our guess is that this truck was sold after putting in years of dependable service, which is a natural part of fleet rotation in the trucking industry.
But what stands out most is that someone saw the value still left in her and gave her a second life on the road.
That’s something we take pride in at Skelton Truck Lines. Strong maintenance programs, proper care, and attention to equipment don’t just keep freight moving safely; they help extend the working life of a truck long after it leaves our fleet.
For many owner-operators and small businesses, trucks like this become an opportunity to build something of their own. We have to say, there’s something special about seeing a piece of our trucking history still out there doing what it was built to do.
If anyone has information about this truck or remembers this photo, we’d love to hear the story behind it.
