A familiar face in Calgary.

Mike had a chance to catch up with longtime friend and industry colleague Steve Nomura of Oliphia Associates and BCIT while he was on the road.

These two go back many years. They’ve worked together, shared plenty of industry knowledge and stayed connected through it all.

That’s one of the things Mike has enjoyed most about this trip. It isn’t only about making new connections. It’s also a chance to reconnect with people who have been part of the journey for a long time.

Great seeing you, Steve, and a well-deserved shoutout to Oliphia Associates.

Mike also managed to fit in a little sightseeing around Calgary between meetings.

Mike's Calgary camera roll has been a good mix of meetings, city views and apparently the local wildlife.

One of his stops was Black Diamond Group, where he caught up with Dave MacDonell, General Manager, Project Management.

Mike and Dave go back many years in the industry. It's always nice when a business trip gives you the chance to reconnect with someone you've known for a long time, see what they're up to and trade a few stories along the way.

Thanks for welcoming Mike in, Dave. It was great to see you again.

And yes, the rabbit made the carousel.

Another great Calgary conversation from Mike's trip through Western Canada.

Late last week, Mike met up with Rod Duhamel of Used Modulars Canada and Mike Guthrie of C&V Facilities Maintenance Services.

Nothing complicated about this one. Just three guys with plenty of industry experience getting together to talk about what everyone has going on, where things are headed and opportunities to work together.

Mike Guthrie has also been in Mike and CIP's corner for a long time, particularly here on social media. That kind of support doesn't go unnoticed.

Mike managed to fit in a little sightseeing while he was in Calgary too. If you're going to put this many kilometres on the truck, you might as well see some of the country along the way.

Thanks for the time and the conversation, Rod and Mike.

Yesterday's meeting came with a bit of history.

Mike caught up with his longtime friend Lynne from Karve. The two have known each other for years and even worked together on the 2010 Olympic Athletes Village project in Whistler.

It was great to reconnect, talk about what everyone is working on today and share some thoughts about where things are headed.

And this trip hasn't been all meeting rooms and highways. Mike has been making the most of the drive, including spending a night camping out of the truck and taking in some incredible scenery along the way.

The conversations have been rewarding. So has the opportunity to see a little more of this beautiful part of the country.

Thanks for the visit, Lynne. Great to see you again.

Another great stop in Calgary today.

Mike stopped in at ROC Modular's head office to spend some time with President & CEO Joe Kiss and Director of Business Development Rhys Kane.

They had a chance to catch up, talk about what everyone has going on and share some thoughts on the modular industry and what's ahead.

There's a lot of value in getting good people together and simply making time for a conversation.

Thanks to Joe, Rhys and the ROC Modular team for the hospitality. Mike really enjoyed the visit.

The road trip continues!

Day Three took Mike from Castlegar, BC to Lethbridge, Alberta.

The morning started with a visit to our friends at Kalesnikoff and a tour of their impressive Castlegar facility.

One of the best parts of getting out on the road is having the opportunity to see how other people in our industry work. Different facilities, different processes and different areas of expertise all give us something to learn from.

And there was certainly plenty to see at Kalesnikoff.

Thank you to their team for opening the doors, showing Mike around and making time for some good conversation.

From there, it was eastbound. Mike crossed into Alberta and made his way toward Lethbridge for the next leg of the trip.

Three days down. Plenty more road ahead.

Day Two of Mike's Western Canada road trip took him to Kamloops, BC.

Today included a visit with our friends at Elliott Mumford Contracting Ltd. (EMC), some good industry conversation and a chance to spend time together in person.

That's exactly what this trip is about.

Emails, phone calls and video meetings all have their place, but there's still a lot of value in getting on the road and sitting down with the people you work alongside.

Mike also managed to find some time to enjoy a little of what the Okanagan has to offer—and apparently found a few opportunities to model one of the new CIP hats along the way.

Thanks to everyone at EMC for making time for a visit.

The road trip continues from here.

Mike Davies is hitting the road!

Starting August 24, Mike will be making his way through BC and Alberta, with stops planned in Kamloops, Kelowna, Lethbridge, Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Jasper and Prince George.

The purpose is pretty simple: spend time with clients, partners and industry friends, make some new connections, and have good conversations along the way.

After more than 33 years in the modular industry, Mike knows that some of the best business relationships don't start with a sales pitch. They start by sitting down, learning what someone else is working on and seeing where you might be able to help each other.

The route is planned, but it isn't set in stone. If another meeting is worth making the trip for, Mike is happy to make a detour.

Are you somewhere along the way? Let us know. We'd be happy to connect!

Whether it's by land, sea, or sky, CIP gets the job done.

Today we had the opportunity to work alongside our friends at Matrix at the Nanaimo Airport, helping load several canvas tents that are on their way to Resolute Bay, Nunavut.

While many people know us for transporting modular buildings, our team supports a wide range of logistics projects. From specialized freight to remote community deliveries, every job requires careful planning, experienced operators, and a commitment to getting it done safely.

We enjoy opportunities like this because they remind us that great projects are built on strong partnerships. Thank you to Matrix for trusting us to lend a hand.

No matter what needs moving, or where it's going, we're always ready to help.

A successful modular project is about more than constructing a quality building.

It's about delivering the entire project.

For more than 33 years, CIP has provided turnkey modular solutions by bringing design, construction, transportation, and installation together under one roof. That integrated approach allows us to simplify coordination, reduce project risk, and keep schedules moving.

Whether we're delivering a classroom, office, workforce accommodation, commercial space, or a custom modular solution, our teams work together from the first design meeting through to final placement on site.

Our clients don't have to manage multiple contractors or wonder who's responsible for the next step.

They have one experienced partner from beginning to end.

Design. Build. Transport. Install.

CIP Does It All.
