Trucking companies picking up and delivering containers for two of Canada’s three major ports are now faced with tighter security checks and will require special credentials to enable access to the docks.

Both ports of Halifax and Montreal are in the process of developing an identification card containing bio-metric info for truckers. Said card would be equivalent to the TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) stringently required at U.S. ports.

Here's a little chortle'n-snicker-inducing joke to help you on your way to a great weekend!

A trucker driving along on the freeway notices a road sign in the distance that reads 'Low Bridge Ahead.'

Sure enough, the trucker gets stuck under the bridge. Cars are backed up for miles.

Finally, a police officer arrives at the scene. The cop gets out of his cruiser and walks around to the truck driver. He puts his hands on his hips and remarks, "Looks like you got stuck, huh?"

The trucker replies sarcastically, "No, officer, actually I was delivering this bridge and ran out of gas!"
