Execute the day-to-day shipments originated and/or handled by the international operations department.
Prioritize, schedule and route shipments and arrange global transportation by air , sea and road LTL freight.
Process cargo manifests calculate charges and coordinate all areas of consolidated freight.
Must have Knowledge of Cross-border US/Mexico/Canada Transportation, OTR truckload, including dry van, flatbed, re**er, etc.
Transportation Operations (Dispatching, tracking, and scheduling of orders)
Interact with customers and their key personnel as needed, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and operational proficiency to meet growth and profitability goals.
Preparing required shipping documentation
Effective and professional communication with clients and carriers
Proactively solicit customer feedback and provide innovative solutions to customer service issues/barriers.
Work with contract and third-party transportation service providers to ensure on-time delivery performance. Effective communication with them is essential to ensure shipments are executed timely and accurately.
Maintain accurate status updates of shipments including in-transit notifications and estimated time of deliveries; communicate daily with customers to keep them informed of changes pertaining to their shipments should an update apply or be required.
Prepare and palletize cargo as needed.
Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is correct
Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment
Work with vendor specific websites to set up and track shipments.
Other duties as assigned.
