🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP 🚨
What started as another scooter recovery turned into one of the most serious incidents we have experienced since launching iRoll in Moncton.
Over the last few weeks, scooter thefts have become a growing problem for our business. After several scooters were stolen, we increased our security measures and tracking capabilities.
On the night of **June 4th into the early morning of June 5th**, our system alerted us that a scooter's tracking device had been disconnected. We immediately began monitoring its movements through the city and followed the GPS data in an attempt to recover the scooter.
During the recovery attempt, an incident occurred that resulted in RCMP being called. The owner itself who went to recover the scooters sustained injuries during the encounter, including a bleeding hand, injuries to arm, torn clothing, and swelling on the back.
We have provided video evidence, GPS tracking records, photographs, and telemetry data to police.
📹 **We are asking for the public's help.**
If you have a doorbell camera, security camera, business camera, or dashcam footage recorded between **11:30 PM on June 4th and 12:30 AM on June 5th**, please check your recordings.
We are particularly interested in footage from:
• Church Street
• John Street
• Hall Street
• Victoria Park area
• Nearby streets and intersections
Even a few seconds of footage showing people, scooters, vehicles, or activity in these areas could be extremely valuable.
