Polaris proudly supported students in our local community through our annual Back-to-School Drive!

Our team came together to purchase backpacks, lunchboxes and essential school supplies for children supported by Ernestine's Women’s Shelter. The items were then donated to the shelter to help ensure students had the supplies they needed to start the new school year feeling prepared and confident.

It was a wonderful opportunity to give back and help students start the school year off right. We’re incredibly grateful to have such a compassionate team that is always ready to come together and make a difference in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s drive! Your kindness and generosity are making a positive impact on students in our community.

The Polaris Women’s League is growing

The Polaris Women’s League recently held another gathering, giving women across Polaris a chance to connect, learn and share what matters to them.

This time, the conversation included women’s health and a look at the resources available through our benefits plan, along with plenty of discussion about what the women of Polaris would like to see from the League.

There’s also a lot happening outside the gatherings. The walking group is getting ready to get started, with women already encouraging each other to take part. The movie club is underway and the book club will be back in September.

The League was created in honour of the vision of the late Pam Lambe, who dreamed of a safe and welcoming place where the women of Polaris could come together, share their experiences and support one another.

It’s great to see that vision taking shape and to see women finding new ways to connect with each other.

We’re already looking ahead to our next gathering in October!

Giving back is an important part of who we are at Polaris, and our annual Summer Event is always a great opportunity to make a difference in our community.

This year, our 5th annual event included a Polaris Community Care Unit (CCU) food drive where our team came together to collect 537 lbs of non-perishable food items in support of Caledon Community Services. This donation was made possible by the generosity of our team members. Together, these donations will help provide essential support to local families and individuals facing food insecurity.

Our CCU volunteers, Tia Baluyot, Aaron Rodrigues and Muizz Nasir, helped shop for and deliver the collected items to Caledon Community Services – The Exchange. They had the opportunity to meet the dedicated team behind the organization and see firsthand the important work they do every day.

With summer typically being a slower season for food donations, this contribution arrived at a critical time, helping replenish shelves and support more than 1,400 people who rely on The Exchange each month. The Exchange provides more than food assistance. Through personalized support and community programs, they help strengthen and uplift Caledon residents when they need it most. We’re proud to contribute to their mission of reducing hunger and building a stronger community.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this year’s food drive such a success. A special thank you to Kim D’Eri and the entire Exchange team for the incredible work you do. Your dedication and compassion continue to inspire us.

On Saturday, July 18, our Polaris team and their families came together at the Caledon Fairgrounds for our 5th Annual Summer Event. It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, friendly competition and opportunities to give back.

There was something for everyone to enjoy, from baseball, bingo, water games and a cake-eating contest to a special visit from Earth Rangers and a few of their incredible animal ambassadors.

Together, we also made a meaningful impact. Thanks to everyone's participation in our games and activities, we raised $1,220 through bingo, contests and raffle ticket sales. The proceeds were donated to Know Human Trafficking, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and combating human trafficking, and Earth Rangers to support their important conservation work.

As part of our annual Summer Event tradition, the Polaris Community Care Unit (CCU) hosted a food drive. Our team donated essential food items to the Caledon Community Services Food Bank, helping provide food and other necessities to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

This event wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of our Summer Event Committee, our Human Resources team, our volunteers and every Polaris employee and family member who joined us to celebrate, connect and support our community.

A special thank you to the Cox family and everyone who helped make this year's Summer Event such a success. We're already looking forward to doing it all again next year!
