With nearly 30 years with us, our Operations Manager – SCOTT EASTON is known for his knowledge & team-first approach as he helps keep operations running smoothly every day.
❓ What are the key things you focus on in your position?
As Operations Manager, I see my role much like an orchestra conductor. Everyone plays an important part in delivering a successful move, & my job is to ensure everyone has the information, support, & resources they need to work together seamlessly. Accurate information is the foundation of success. With nearly 30 years at UVL & experience across every department, I can provide the answer or connect you with the right person who can. I live by the three "R's" of moving: Respect, Rapport, & Relationships. That's how successful moves happen.
❓ What’s your favorite part of working for our Members?
Our Members are the most dedicated & the hardest working people on the planet. Every day is "moving day" & these folks give it their all.
❓ Who or what inspires you professionally?
My father spent nearly 40 years in transportation. He was well respected & I learned about his roles & challenges after his retirement. Many of his former colleagues still speak fondly of him & their mutual respect. I try to live by what he taught me: treat others how you would like to be treated. I’m also continually inspired by the many people I’ve had the privilege of working with over the years, & today.
❓ Which company value resonates with you the most, & why?
The one that stands out the most is "Do Right". It might not always be the popular answer, but it is the best one for everyone involved.
❓ What is your favorite part about the company culture?
The People, The People, The People! I look forward to sharing our culture, ways, & traditions with new staff & members.
❓ What is the best part about your colleagues?
What a Team we have! We look out for each other... Nobody is ever alone. We are very fortunate.
🎖️ Fun fact: He never misses a Remembrance Day ceremony.
