Six days in Hamburg… and we’ve finally reached peak German living: Eisbecher time 🍨🇩🇪

Right in the stunning Alsterarkaden, with those dreamy canals and arcades as a backdrop, we went all in. I chose the After Eight (think minty, chocolatey, dangerously good), while Joerg stayed classic with a Bailey’s - because why not turn dessert into a lifestyle? 😄

Let’s just say… worth the wait. Rich, indulgent, and just the right amount of over-the-top. Germany doesn’t rush these things.

Mission accomplished. Summer officially started. ☀️🍦

Six days in Hamburg… and we’ve finally reached peak German living: Eisbecher time 🍨🇩🇪

Another “who ordered this weather?” kind of Hamburg day ☀️ 26°C and not a cloud in sight.

Breakfast at a very civilized pace → stroll through Planten un Blomen with my sister and brother-in-law → accidental full sightseeing tour past bunkers, fancy towers, and down to Landungsbrücken.

Drinks + food with a front-row seat to Rickmer Rickmers (casually built in 1896… no big deal).

Dodged a demo at city hall like pros, rewarded ourselves with fancy coffee at Zimt & Zucker Kaffeehaus, and wrapped it all up at Jungfernstieg.



Honestly… we should probably leave more often. 😅

Well… that escalated quickly 😅✈️

Smooth flight, zero wait at passport control, and happily reunited with family ❤️

And then… Standing in the parking lot realizing I had… no phone, no wallet, no ID 😳 Cue full panic and sprint back to customs.

Found an officer… on MY phone 📱 (Joerg had called it 🙌). Crisis averted!

Now in our very high-tech “smartment,” trying not to accidentally shut off all the lights 😅 Ending the day with family, groceries from my mom, and sangria from my sister 🍷

All’s well that ends with a drink - and my phone back in hand 🙌

Our adventure begins right here in Amsterdam — fueled by stroopwafels and good vibes. 😄 From here it’s castles, vineyards, and fairytale towns all the way through Germany to beautiful Basel. 🚢✨ Let the journey begin!

Started the day with an early morning
evacuation alarm (false, of course 🙄), a tram ticket machine meltdown, and a museum receipt that refused to print… but we finally made it to the Rijksmuseum!

After some Dutch history, we dodged the Sinterklaas crowds, enjoyed smoked salmon, eel, herring & pea soup, and ended with a sunny stroll back to the hotel.

A chaotic start, but a great day in the end! 🇳🇱✨

From a frosty 2°C sunrise in Saint John 🥶🌅 to a gorgeous Bay of Fundy photography tour 📸, today had a little of everything. I even ventured into plant-based dining (what we do for our clients! 😉). As a self-confessed meat-eater, I was skeptical… but wow, it did not disappoint. 🥗🌱 Absolutely delicious!

We wrapped up the day onboard with ABBA — the perfect ending full of sparkle, sing-alongs, and pure fun. 🎶✨ Cold start, warm memories, perfect day. 💙⚓️
