Golden Jet is currently looking to hire 3 Full-Time Permanent Employee for a Logistics Coordinator Position to join our Operations team in Toronto, Ontario. Golden Jet, established in 1984 has been an industry leader in innovation and service ever since.
We are looking for entry-level applicants with existing experience or training in freight forwarding and be willing to work within a cohesive team atmosphere in a high paced office setting.
You should possess superior communication, customer service, problem-solving and decision-making skills. You should be detail-oriented and should be able to demonstrate effective organizational skills. Additionally, You should foster a positive and collaborative work environment, aimed to deliver the best in class service to clients, vendors and agents.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating and managing inbound and outbound shipments related to the position
Tracking / Tracing daily and updating clients
Client / Vendor / Agent interaction on a day to day basis
Invoicing approval and auditing as required
Timely billing of the shipments
Maintenance of personal shipment files in a timely manner with precision.
Escalating problems when necessary
Working as part of a team to ensure clients' needs are met and exceeded
Performing other duties assigned by the Freight Manager in accordance with established company policies and procedures
Assets :
Speaking / Writing Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
Project work experience
CIFFA or related industry training is considered an asset but is not required.
Knowledge of customs brokerage as it relates to freight forwarding is appreciated, but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a large volume of shipments and tight deadlines.
