Major Update and changes for International Students: 2025 Allocations Announced
Canada has set the 2025 cap for study permits at 437,000, a 10% reduction from 2024. This adjustment builds on last year’s changes, which helped ease pressure on housing, healthcare, and other services, reducing international student numbers by about 40%. PAL/TAL requirements now apply to master’s, doctoral, and most in-Canada applicants, ensuring fair distribution across provinces and territories.
Graduate students have reserved spaces under this cap, and exchange students remain exempt to preserve Canada’s global education agreements. Ontario leads in allocations with 181,590 permits, followed by Quebec at 162,742 and British Columbia with 76,087.

These measures aim to keep the program sustainable while supporting Canada’s long-term needs. DLIs must now meet stricter compliance rules, or they risk suspension. Do not wait until it get worse. Be proactive

MEN SHOULD PREPARE THEMSELVES TO HANDLE WOMEN WHO CLOCK 40 AND ABOVE.

Read this.

When some Women turn 40 or 50 years, something major shifts in their personality.

They become bolder, more rebellious, more religious, more focused, more opinionated and more emphatic about what they want.

Don’t be surprised when a previously obedient and submissive Woman on turning 40/50 changes completely.
Most especially when she had given birth to Children.

At this age, she may not go with the flow anymore, she may begin to ask some questions :
- Is s*x food?
- Query some of your instructions
- Even the way you behave.

She will also become more outspoken and will not be afraid to speak her mind.

If care is not taken, you may have to do for yourself :
- Dry cleaning
- Preparing food to eat
Because it might take her more time before she responds to your request.

There is something definitely special about turning 40/50 for Women.

If she has never challenged or questioned your instructions, get ready to be shocked by her boldness and confrontational attitude.

The only way to avoid total breakdown of Peace and Harmony in the home is for Men to become fair, objective and reasonable in their approaches to issues at home and/or at work.

Men should bear in mind that at this age, Women also harbour lots of regrets about the decisions they have made in life so far...!
Their Husbands may be one of them!

A woman at this age is a better Judge of character and will evaluate a Man using very different & weird parameters.

Men must start on time to prepare for this phase in the lives of their Wives/Partners/Bosses/ Subordinates.

What you put in is what you get!

If you have treated her fairly, then you don’t have anything to worry about.
She will begin to appreciate you better if for any reason she didn’t do so in the past.

On the contrary if you haven’t been nice to her, fasten your seatbelt, the ride is about to get pretty bumpy.

A Woman doesn’t forget those who hurt her, and by her actions and utterances you will know that she is out to show you that she is no longer that little girl you married in addition to social media and online friends and inlaws...It might help to learn these early especially with the added Socio-economic stress.

Canada Immigration Updates

In this summary letter for January 2024, I will be sharing important changes on the study route to Canada immigration. I will attempt to break it down in a way that you will understand the broader implications and separate truth from myth.

1) Proof of funds:

The living expenses requirement for Candidates applying for Visa to study in Canada was increased by a margin of over 10,000 Canadian Dollars. Hence the minimum total proof of funds for 1 year for an average tuition program in 2024 will be N40 Million (Naira). Note that if you have dependents, the total amount will be higher and will depends on the size of your family. Always do your diligence!

Average Tuition for programs in 2024 is in the range of 16,000 CAD to 18,000 CAD for 1 year. If you are able to find cheaper schools, it will reduce the burden of proof of funds. Also, if you are able to pay whole or Part of your Tuition, it will be deducted from your Proof of funds requirements.

When arranging your proof of funds, note that you are required to show proof of origin of the funds, having the required fund in your account balance is not enough.

2) Cap on Study Permit issued per province:

The Canadian Immigration has further stated that a cap will be implemented on the number of study permits that will be issued this year to each province in Canada. Note that this Cap is NOT applicable to the following:

Master’s, PhD, and K-12 students are not included in the cap.
Current study permit holders will not be affected.
Those looking to extend their studies will not be affected.

The Cap is applicable to:

Undergraduate and Diploma programs
Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate programs

Under this Scheme, provinces will be required to provide attestation letter to student Visa applicants before they can submit their Visa application. Please note that this policy has already taken effect, hence, DO NOT submit your study Visa application until your province publishes the framework and requirements for obtaining the attestation letter. Most provinces will not publish this information until March 2024.

BREAKING: Canada's Immigration Minister has announced new measures to limit and curb the abuse of Canada's international student program.

➡️ From Sep 1, 2024 there are no more spousal open work permits for spouses of international students who are not studying in graduate schools or in a professional program such as medicine or law

➡️Canada will implement a two-year cap on international study permits, it will reduce the number of study permits by 35% from 2023's level to 364,000.

➡️Each province will be assigned a fixed number of study permits that's proportional to its population, and have to decide how it divvies them up among the schools authorized to take in international students.

➡️There are no more postgraduate work permits for students who graduate from Private Career Colleges operating under Public College-Private Partnerships

Procrastination is bad ....
New update is that Canada will stop issuing work permit to a spouse of international students starting from September 1, 2024. Except you are doing professional courses like medical line, Law or doing Graduate courses.

If you are still procrastinating, please continue till the door is finally closed and padlocked.

Today, we announced that the Government of Canada will set an intake cap on international student permit applications to stabilize growth, for a period of two years. For 2024, the cap is expected to result in approximately 360,000 approved study permits, a decrease of 35% from 2023. Study permit renewals will not be impacted. Those pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees, and elementary and secondary education are not included in the cap. Current study permit holders will not be affected.

To implement the cap, as of January 22, 2024, every study permit application submitted to IRCC will also require an attestation letter from a province or territory. Provinces and territories are expected to establish a process for issuing attestation letters to students by no later than March 31, 2024.

In order to better align the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program, we are changing the eligibility criteria:
• Starting September 1, 2024, international students who begin a study program that is part of a curriculum licensing arrangement will no longer be eligible for a postgraduation work permit upon graduation.
• Graduates of master’s and other short graduate-level programs will soon be eligible to apply for a 3-year work permit.

In the weeks ahead, open work permits will only be available to spouses of international students in master's and doctoral programs. The spouses of international students in other levels of study, including undergraduate and college programs, will no longer be eligible.
