What a week at the cottage! Numbers were low but the quality of the bites was the best it’s ever been. Nearly every bass was a healthy size, the walleye were energetic, some pike came out to play and we managed to run into a rare largemouth on that lake - on the GoPro to boot!
The giant walleye on day two kind of set the bar really high for the rest of the week but the smallmouth just kept getting bigger. The lone largie was caught on the new Wampage, every smallmouth was caught on a 3.25” Swimpleton or a 5.25” Wobblin.
Smoke was a factor in the back half of the week, but held off the excessive heat that was forecasted and turned the bite on significantly.
Hope you’re all having a great summer, now it’s time to get back in the shop and make baits. 💪🏻
