Yep, is still here—just took a little hibernation break to focus on life, family, and friends. And honestly, it was much needed!

But don’t worry, I’ve still been reading (and listening to) plenty of books. This year, I really want to connect with people through books, and what better way to start than with a household favorite—Shari Lapena!

I just finished What Have You Done? and, as always, she delivered a fast-paced, twisty “whodunit.” One of the best parts? Reading alongside my husband and driving him crazy with my ever-changing theories.

📚 Raising a Reader, One Chapter at a Time 🌟

Lately, I’ve been trying to nudge my son away from graphic novels like Dog Man, Captain Underpants, and The Bad Guys (all great fun, but sometimes we need a new challenge!) and into something a bit deeper. Enter The Wild Robot by Peter Brown—a story that stretched both of us in the best way.

We decided to buddy read it together, a fantastic way to make reading a shared adventure. We’d take turns reading chapters, pausing to talk about the story, and sharing reactions. And let me tell you, the discussions we had were pure gold. My favorite part? Him warning me not to cry during certain emotional moments... and, of course, I always cried.

Reading together not only challenged us but also brought us closer. It’s such a joy to model the love of books by diving into stories alongside him.
