1992 Giesler 16' French River – Cedar Strip Boat

Asking $6,000

Includes trailer and 2017 Evinrude E-TEC

This is a classic 1992 Giesler French River, hand-built in Powassan, Ontario by Giesler Boats. The family has been building boats since the early 1920s, and they call themselves Canada's oldest remaining hand-crafted wood boat builder. The boat is built the traditional way, with cedar strips, copper nails and red oak frames.

The French River is Giesler's all-purpose model for fishing, cruising or skiing. It's a favourite with cottage owners and is braced to handle heavy water.
