Call me nuts, but I can’t wait to get the ol’girl back on the road. They don’t make them like this any more. Fixed the dash gauges, cleaned the carb, drained stale gas out, fixed a few mouse chewed wires. Next is new tires (it actually has the original ones on it), repair a hole in there’s from a mount rubbing on it and figure out why high beams don’t work. I think it’s the hi/lo button. It has just under 50,000 original km on it. Stopping in at a parts shop tomorrow to get a heater motor and housing (original one is missing, common to have them removed because mice get in and eat out the fan and fill core with, well, you know, what mice are good at).

Never thought I’d buy a Chevy…. But here we are, a C70 big boy…
I think it’s a really good barn find though, under 50,000k, and the tire codes are from 1981 and 1982 (badly cracked) brakes are disk, not drums(and work too!) runs nice. Transmission shifts and feels like it just came off the dealer lot.
From when trucks were actually built tuff.
