Who wants to come see me?

On September 12, I’ll be bringing The Milestone Society to the BeYOUtiful Women’s Expo at the Shenkman Arts Centre in Orléans and I have 12 FREE tickets to give away!

They’re first come, first served, so if you’d like one, send me a message and let me know.

And then come say hello! I would genuinely love to meet some of you in person.

I’ll be there talking travel, sharing what I’ve been building with The Milestone Society, and probably trying very hard not to abandon my own booth every five minutes to go see what all the other fabulous women at the show are doing.

There will be exhibitors, speakers, food and lots to wander around and explore throughout the day.

Can we stop telling people they’re travelling wrong?

The more I’ve travelled, the less interested I’ve become in all the rules about how we’re apparently supposed to do it.

Skip the touristy places. Find the hidden gems. Travel slowly. Live like a local. Spend more for the “better” experience. Don’t cram too much in. Make sure your trip is meaningful.

Or… hear me out… travel the way that makes sense for you and this particular trip.

I’ve taken trips where I wanted to see absolutely everything I possibly could because I’d spent a lot of money getting there and had no idea when I’d be back.

I’ve also taken trips where what I needed most was somewhere to sit, breathe and have absolutely nobody need anything from me for a while.

I’ve loved famous landmarks. I’ve loved ordinary streets. Some of my favourite travel memories have cost almost nothing, and other experiences were worth saving for.

None of those trips were wrong.

I think sometimes we spend so much time defining what “good travel” is supposed to look like that we forget the most important person in the equation, the person actually taking the trip.

Adventure? Great.
Rest? Great.
A packed itinerary? Go for it.
Three hours drinking coffee at a café? I support this wholeheartedly.
A cruise? Yep.
A group tour? Absolutely.
Going completely solo? Also yes.

You worked for the time. You worked for the money. What do you want to experience with it?

The Milestone Society is officially out in the world.

Over the past few months, I've been building something that feels much more like the travel business I always wanted to create.

The Milestone Society is for women who want to see more of the world, whether that means travelling independently, joining other women on a departure, celebrating something important, or simply going because they want to.

You don't need to be fearless. You don't need to have everything figured out. And you certainly don't need travel to change your life for it to be worth taking the trip.

Sometimes, wanting to go is reason enough.

My job is to help make the getting there easier.

The new website is now live, and for the first time you can explore the Society, learn about the ways we can travel together, see the departures I'm currently developing, and get a much better sense of what I'm building here.

Travel doesn't ask you to be fearless. It simply asks you to begin.

I am about to turn the page on something new...

Over the next little while, you may notice some changes to this page as I transition into a new chapter of my travel business.

The heart of what I do isn’t changing , helping women feel more confident saying yes to the places they’ve been dreaming about is still very much at the centre of it.

But the name, the look, and the way I bring it all together are becoming something that feels much more like me and the community I’ve wanted to create from the beginning.

The office can be anywhere!

Love that I can still travel and enjoy time away doing the things I love even though there is work to do.

I took a moment last week to jump on a training call while camping. It was so worth it as it opened up new possibilities for me and my business.

Something big is coming and I can't wait to share it when all the details are in order.

For a long time, I thought I was passionate about travel.

The more I reflected on it, the more I realized that isn't quite true.

I'm passionate about what travel does to us.

It introduces us to people whose lives look different from our own.

It teaches us to navigate uncertainty.

It asks us to become curious instead of certain.

It reminds us that there is so much beauty in slowing down long enough to really notice where we are.

Every place I've travelled has left something with me.

Thailand taught me courage.

Finland taught me the beauty of slowing down.

Norway is next, and I can't wait to discover what it has to teach.

That's why I'm building something that feels much bigger than a travel business.

I'm building a community for women who believe that the greatest souvenirs aren't the things we buy, but the moments that quietly change us.

The friendships we make.

The courage we discover.

The stories we carry home.

The milestones we collect along the way.

I don't know exactly where this journey will lead, but I do know this.

Life is too short to keep waiting until we're ready.

There is a world waiting to be explored, and perhaps, an even more wonderful version of ourselves waiting to be discovered within it.

**I can't promise perfect journeys.**

Travel has a way of reminding us that we are not in control. Flights are delayed. Weather changes. Plans shift. Sometimes the most meaningful moments arrive disguised as inconveniences.

I don't promise perfection because perfection isn't where transformation happens.

What I can promise is this.

I promise to create spaces where curiosity can bloom.

I promise opportunities to slow down long enough to notice the beauty that so often slips past us.

I promise moments of wonder that remind us just how incredible this world truly is.

I promise a welcoming community where you can share experiences if you choose, or quietly enjoy the journey in your own way, always knowing you belong.

I promise thoughtfully designed experiences that invite you to look a little closer, ask a few more questions, and remain open to whatever each destination has to teach.

Most of all, I promise to walk alongside you.

Not because I have all the answers, but because I am still learning too.

Every journey changes us in ways we could never predict.

My hope is that you'll return home carrying more confidence than you packed, more curiosity than you expected, and a few milestone moments you'll treasure for the rest of your life.

Because we don't travel simply to see the world.

We travel to discover who we are becoming within it.

What a great way to start Canada Day 🇨🇦

It's getting easier and easier to push myself to step out an connect with others in my community and the business world, but networking events are still not my comfort zone.

I'm always so glad I went though and the women at LET's Network | North Grenville make it so comfortable to be there that I had only a flash moment of wanting to just stay home and relax on my extra day off this week.

These networking events aren't just about getting names and info, they are moments to connect with other women and share stories, lives, experiences, and unique specialties.

Community and connection, this is what it's all about and why I show up and why I am building this travel business as well.

If you need the push to step out and say yes to opportunities to connect, this is it 🫸 just do it! Get up, get dressed, throw on some deodorant, and just show up.
