🚗 Before you drive, take a quick walk around! 👀

Before starting your Communauto reservation, take a moment to check the car from all sides. A quick walk-around can help you spot anything that could affect your ride.

🔎 Check for:
• Any new damage or scratches
• Flat or damaged tires
• That the spare tire is where it should be
• Anything unusual that could impact your trip
• The overall condition of the vehicle
If you notice damage or an issue that wasn’t already reported, make sure to report it before starting your trip.

It only takes a minute, and you can do it directly in the app. 💚

Answering a commonly asked question this week! Can you drop off a car in a different location from where you picked it up? It depends on the service you choose to use.

A FLEX car can be returned anywhere in the service zone, so you don't need to return it where you picked it up. A round-trip car always returns to the station you picked it up from.

Let us know if there's other questions you'd like us to answer.

Back-to-school season can get busy 📚 Between drop-offs, errands, appointments and everything in between, suddenly you’re making a lot more short trips.

Think FLEX Pass! 🚗 Get a 15-trip or unlimited pass and your first 30 minutes of each trip are included. You’ll only start paying for your trip from minute 31 onward.

Perfect for all those little trips that add up.

Please note that these passes allow you to enjoy FLEX trips of 30 minutes or less at no additional charge. Trips only become billable starting from the 31st minute (75 km included per trip, then $0.31/km after 75 km).

To learn more about the terms and conditions and to understand the differences between the two FLEX Pass option, visit our website.

🚗📈 Prices going up because everyone suddenly needs a car? Not here.

Communauto doesn’t use surge pricing. That means the price of your trip isn’t automatically increased just because it’s a busy time of day, a sunny Saturday, or everyone’s heading to the beach. ☀️

Whether you’re booking for a busy weekend or grabbing a FLEX on your way home, you pay Communauto’s regular rates.

In Canada, transportation produced 187.7 megatonnes of GHG emissions in 2021, and road transportation was the biggest contributor.

Here's how different ways of getting around compare in grams of CO₂ per kilometre travelled.

As a carsharing member, you're already part of the solution. Research consistently shows that carsharing helps reduce private vehicle ownership and encourages greater use of walking, cycling, and public transit. Together, these choices add up to meaningful emissions reductions and help create healthier, more sustainable communities.
