🏀 Welcome to Kelowna! 🏀

We were excited to welcome the Vancouver Bandits through YLW as they arrived for Kelowna HOOPFEST 2026, and we’d like to extend a warm welcome to the Saskatoon Mamba and all teams competing this weekend.

Running June 5–7, HOOPFEST is bringing athletes, fans, and families together for a weekend of basketball, community, and competition across the city.

The festival features the first-ever Canadian Elite Basketball League regular season game in the Okanagan, plus a youth tournament with more than 90 teams from across B.C., clinics, fan experiences, and outdoor streetball events.

Starting July 1 through September 5, Pacific Coastal Airlines will be adding a second direct flight between Kelowna and Comox six days a week. With the added service, travellers will now have up to 13 direct flights per week between YLW and YQQ, making it even easier to explore the BC coast this summer ☀️🌊

We were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the expanded Kelowna Airport YMCA Child Care Centre✂️✨

With the addition of 24 new infant-toddler spaces, the centre now offers 110 licensed child care spaces, helping support families who live and work near the airport and across our growing region.

This milestone was made possible through collaboration between YLW, the YMCA, KF Aerospace, the City of Kelowna, and the Province of B.C.

As one of only a few airports in North America with on-site child care, we’re proud to help support a more accessible and connected community 💙
