Jasper Tramway whisks people to the Upper Terminal (2263m) on Whistler Mountain in Jasper National Park—largest & most northerly of Canada’s Rocky Mountain national parks & a UNESCO-designated World Park Heritage

Site—providing easy access to two boardwalks & hiking trails to the summit. Hike the 1.4km Whistlers Summit Trail to reach the top of Whistlers Mountain at 2,463m and on a clear day you'll be treated to a panoramic view of six mountain ranges, the Jasper townsite and all it's surrounding natural beauty. Frequently seen wildlife: Grizzly & black bears, marmot, pica, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, elk & other alpine wildlife.

A timeless adventure 🚡⛰️✨

The Jasper SkyTram story began in 1960 when William McGregor first reached the summit of Whistlers Mountain and was inspired to share the view with the world.

Construction started in 1963, and the tram opened in 1964. Since then, it has welcomed millions of visitors, including dignitaries, celebrities and even The Amazing Race Canada contestants.

From then to now, the mission remains the same: sharing the beauty of Jasper National Park’s sky-high views!
