Late night arrival last week! The K-13 landing at 9:43PM with Gord Spurgeon and Alexander Gold (visiting pilot) after an epic soaring flight to 13,000ft.

They launched after 7PM local time. The skies at Invermere often bring perfect late day soaring conditions!

The Invermere Soaring Centre would like to congratulate several local and visiting pilots on their incredible flights June 23rd, originating from the Columbia Valley. Leading the day was Martin Dennis out of Fairmont in his ASH-26, who completed a 937km flight! Harry Peters flew 861km out of Invermere in his Ventus 2CM, visiting pilot Ejub Duric flew 816km in his STD Jantar, visiting pilot Sergey Skobkarev flew 711km in his ASW-20, Andrew Corrigan flew 651km in his Ventus 2cT, Gonda-Bastian Sinagowitz flew 553km in his Ventus 2cxT, and visiting pilots Frank Pilz (DG800) and Dave Burgess (Discus) also had great flights. Once again, congratulations to you all on your achievements!
