Buying an agricultural drone isn't difficult. Getting the spraying right? That's a different story.

Some people believe that agricultural drones have become so advanced that all you need to do is set the flight route, press start, and let the drone do the work.

But here's our question:

Just because the drone completed its flight, does that mean the spraying was done properly?

Why can two operators using the same drone and the same product achieve completely different results?

Nozzle selection, droplet size, flight height, speed, weather conditions, crop growth stage... How much do these factors really affect application performance?

And when the results aren't what we expected, is the drone necessarily the problem?

These are questions that equipment salespeople alone cannot answer.

We need to hear from the researchers who study spray application, the growers who work in the fields every day, and the operators who have real-world experience.

That's exactly the conversation we want to bring to Agriculture Panel 2 at Niagara Drone Summit 2026.

Panel 2 — Application Is More Than Flying the Drone

There's a lot more to agricultural spraying than simply flying a drone.

Some say Canada is moving too slowly when it comes to agricultural technology.

I don't see it that way.

Moving fast gives us opportunities to innovate and gain experience.

But taking the time to learn, adapt, and build on what works allows us to grow stronger and go further.

Progress in agriculture isn't measured by how much advanced equipment we have. It's measured by how much that technology actually helps our farmers.

I'm especially grateful to the agronomists, growers, and agricultural researchers who spend their days working in real fields.

They're the ones bringing agricultural knowledge and new technology together — observing, testing, learning, and turning real field experience into knowledge the rest of us can benefit from.

That's exactly why we're so excited about our first Agriculture Panel at Niagara Drone Summit 2026:
