Hello Friends and followers of MSL,
Our page has been very busy the last several days, and I wanted to take a minute to share the facts and the truth about a recent customer.
In summary, the customer is very happy with our services, and you can see her review here - https://www.facebook.com/heupshaw/posts/10221577219153655
Below is our response to Hayden Lawrence’s post from his page - https://www.facebook.com/HaydenLawrence55. Do not bother to comment on his page as he is just deleting the ones he does not live, even comments from his own family.
Hayden Lawrence has offered several false statements and accusations with respect to his Great Grandmother’s transition. We were hired by his Great Grandmother and her daughter. Both were present during every interaction and both co-signed our detailed hourly “estimate”.
After being hired for the project, and quickly arranging a team, a truck, and access to the seniors residence, Hayden texted me that he would be “moving” his Great Grandmother. I let him know that it would be a lot of work, perhaps more than he expected. He said it would be no problem for him and a friend to do the job, as he had moved himself nine times.
I then provided Hayden with a detailed computer designed floor plan of his Great Grandmother’s new suite, with a list of the furniture she had advised me she would like in her new suite. He sent me a text and photos of the suite after he moved some of her items and said “Took 3.5 hours to get this done with myself and another and a truck. Not bad for only being 23 years old!” My response to him was “Looks good😊”. A polite and courteous interaction, as always. It was concerning that he had entered the seniors residence through the back door and not followed their covid protocols. The next day Hayden’s Great Grandmother called me and asked that I come ASAP. Hayden had not returned, they wanted me and my team to complete the project.
My team and I spent 120 hours, working two 12 hour days – Hayden’s 3.5 hours is certainly not 75% of the job. We provided our end-to-end transition services - sorted and organized the items our client wanted to take with her to her new suite, and the items that she wanted to donate, and arranged for items to be taken to waste disposal. We carefully packed everything, moved the remaining furniture she wanted, unpacked dozen of boxes and set up her new suite, including hanging the art and ensuring all electronics were working.
The fee of $8,000 was for six people, 120 hours of work, materials, gas, waste disposal fees and $900+ of HST. Both Hayden’s Great Grandmother, who was very clear and decisive about what she wanted, and her daughter (Hayden’s Great Aunt) who engaged my services, were very happy with the services provided and the 110% effort that went into getting everything transitioned into the new suite in 2 days. Hayden’s Great Aunt has since updated me that her Mother is very happy in her new community and “delighted” with her new suite.
The disruption that Hayden created to this project caused his Great Grandmother a great deal of stress. Unfortunately, this continued disruption from Hayden here on Facebook will also add stress to his 97 year old Great Grandmother’s life. My team and I tried, as we always do, to minimize the stress associated with this kind of life transition. I think that we should not lose sight of who is most important, the client.
It is unfortunate that a false story can be believed and shared so quickly. I would hope that everyone will put in the same effort to share the happy truth of this project, and revise their posted negative reviews and comments accordingly.
Warmest regards,
The MSL Hamilton & Niagara Team
