Alberta West Transport Ltd. Based in Grande Prairie, AB, we provide winching, lowbedding, salvage and gravel hauling throughout Western Canada, the Yukon and the Territories.

We also provide logging, mulching, stumping and piling services to the oilfield and landowners.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Alberta West and Bison Oilfield teams. As we look back on 2025, our employees continue to define who we are. We’re thankful for all our customers who trusted us to complete their projects.

In the past 12 months, we delivered close to 100 loads of salvage logs to most of the local communities. Horse Lake First Nation, Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation, Kelly Lake First Nation, Kelly Lake Cree Nation, Kelly Lake Métis Settlement and Aseniwuche Winewak Nation all received wood donated by the various Oil Companies. The majority will be used for firewood with the remainder used for sawing and biochar.
