Meet Melanie Jenner, a visual artist and designer born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Melanie has shared her work through group and solo exhibitions, curated exhibitions, and catalogue design for fellow Alberta artists. Many in the community may know her from her 18 years at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, while others may recognize her colourful paintings and greeting cards from local pop up markets.

Her artwork is currently displayed on the Grande Prairie Airport Art Wall, offering travellers and community members a chance to experience her vibrant, uplifting pieces.

Working primarily in watercolour and acrylic, Melanie creates joyful florals and colourful abstracts that reflect her love of colour, creativity, and connection.

She is a graduate of Northwestern Polytechnic’s Fine Arts program and the Alberta University of the Arts, and is also the publisher and designer of The Article, a new arts and culture magazine in the Peace region that launched this February.

Today we are celebrating Airport Workers Day at the Grande Prairie Airport.

A familiar favourite is back at Grande Prairie Airport.

Our Kiddies Plane has received a fresh makeover in the maintenance garage and has now returned home to the terminal, ready for the next generation of travellers to enjoy.

This long-standing feature has been part of many travel memories over the years, and we are excited to see it back in place for families passing through the airport.
