What a night at the Gimli Chamber of Commerce gala!! We got to be in a room with great friends and great companies in our community! It was a night of fun and laughter, and amazing surprises!
Although we didn’t win in our category of Agriculture & Fisheries Achievement Award (congratulations to Bar-Z Beef), we were absolutely surprised at winning the People’s Choice Award!!
Although we didn’t have a speech prepared, Amy stood up there and said exactly what we all were thinking. It was emotional….
We want to thank everyone who voted for us, we want to thank our staff (without their hard work we wouldn’t be where we are), we want to thank our friends (you know who you are and we love having you all to lean on), and we want to thank our community, we have called Gimli home for over 50 years and could never imagine living anywhere else!!! I wish we had more pictures, we were just so caught up in the moment!!

Well, there’s one more day left to round out the hard water season this year. Thankfully yesterday my wife was able to catch a beautiful 28.25” master greenback. If this weather holds tomorrow, you’ll find us out there giving it one more last hoorah!! We at Bruce’s Marine want to say that we loved having everyone come into our temporary building and telling us what was working for them and showing us the awesome pictures of all the great catches!! As this weather is getting warm, please, anyone going out tomorrow, be safe and have fun!! Here are some of the catches we’ve got this hard water season, enjoy!!
