Fort Vermilion Head Start Fort Vermilion Head Start is a pre-school program for children ages 3.5 - 5 A child's early years are the most important years of their lives. And lots of play!

Experiences and impressions from early childhood stay with them for life. Children are at risk of not being able to develop to their full potential emotionally, developmentally, mentally or in their physical skills. This is where our Head Start program comes in: an opportunity for your child to attend school in a playful manner, work on their developmental skills and learn social, emotional, gross

and fine motor skills. In Head Start children learn to play and share, express their feelings and cope with emotions, they learn ABC's, numbers, colors, and shapes. Outdoor and indoor play are essential parts of the program. They go on field trips and learn about community helpers. Over the years many children have benefited from our program. At Brighter Futures Society Head Start we offer this extra step to you at NO COST. It's fun and children enjoy it! Application forms can be obtained from our Head Start location or on our website. Children are admitted based on needs, we do NOT work on first come first serve basis. Our program is offered during the standard school year September - June. Children must be 3.5-5 years of age and completely potty trained. Our program runs Monday - Thursday, two different age programs per day.

Hey!! I know it’s pretty early but head start is looking for any Christmas decorations you may want to donate! It could be anything including:

-lights
-trees (mini or large)
- tree decorations
-wreaths
-art supplies
-gingerbread houses

Etc
We would be more than grateful for these donations! You can contact the program coordinator or drop anything off here at the school! 🎄🎄
