By 2030, close to a million Canadians will be diagnosed with dementia. The annual cost of dementia to the Canadian economy and healthcare system is over $10.4 billion. One in five Canadians have experienced caring for someone living with dementia.

If you need a reason to participate in the annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, there are three of them.

This year, the Elliot Lake Walk for Alzheimer’s is on May 31, and it begins at Moose Lodge, 26 Oakland Blvd., Elliot Lake.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m. with refreshments and entertainment, including face painting and balloon animals, for the young and young-at-heart! At 10 a.m., walk registration begins. Opening ceremonies are at 10:45 a.m. and the 2026 walk will start right after that. 🌟💖🎊

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Residential Professional Cleaner to join our team for Part-Time work, which will lead to full-time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of private residences, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

· Clean and disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas.

· Empty trash and recycling bins.

· Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as scrubbing grout, washing cleaning baseboards & walls, and washing windows.

· Move-in /Move-out & Estate deep cleaning

· Follow cleaning checklists and client-specific instructions.

· Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is needed.

· Handle client belongings with care and respect.

· Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.

· Ability to work independently and efficiently.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. (MUST)

· Ability to pass a background check.
