Our 17 day Nashville Memphis and Branson tour has travelled through to Nashville and spent three nights at the magnificent Ga***rd Opryland hotel.

We got to “enjoy” the remnants of Hurricane Isaiah after it turned into a Tropical Storm - but we didn’t let it dampen our spirits as we did our driving tour with our local guide Jane. Then we did our Saturday night at the Grand Ole Opry, the world’s longest running radio show, 101 years old this November. We saw various artists perform on stage, a great show.

Sunday was spent doing a tour of the Ryman Auditorium, home of the Opry when it became famous and successful, and a restored venue for shows today. Then there was time to learn about the business of Country Music and more background at the Country Music Hall of Fame, plus free time spent on Broadway where all the Honkytonks are in downtown Nashville. Then we got a behind the scenes tour at the Opry House and learned what went into putting on the show we just saw last night. It was a very interesting tour with two keen and interesting guides.
