Robert Jones started out working summers in the trucking business in 1983. He worked his way up to become a driver, and later a dispatcher. His passion for the industry led him to become a terminal manager for a major Alberta based northern trucking company, and, in 1999, began Jones Transportation Inc. The Jones vision was driven by trucking companies that are very limited in what services they a
re willing to provide. Robert wanted to be able to do whatever the customer asked for. Rather than offering either dray or deck, like most companies, Jones Transportation offers both. Likewise, Jones offers both intermodal and road freight, vans and decks, and trucks and logistics. Many companies will only offer one or the other, and this is what Robert wanted to stray from. These include, but are not limited to: flatdecks, stepdecks, double drop decks, vans, tractors, intermodal containers/chassis, RGN's, and Super-B trains.
