You can’t win the lottery if you never buy a ticket.
Dating is the same.
You can say you want to meet someone. You can complain that dating is terrible. You can hope the right person magically appears in the produce aisle while you’re comparing avocados.
But if you never put yourself out there, your chances are pretty much zero.
Go to the event. Say yes to the introduction.
Start the conversation. Accept the date.
Try something different. Will every “ticket” be a winner? Of course not.
But you only need ONE to change everything.

Attraction matters. Connection matters. Compatibility matters.
But peace? That one hits differently once you’ve been in a relationship that cost you yours. Peace isn’t avoiding hard conversations. It’s knowing you can have them without being punished for being honest.
It’s not wondering where you stand. Not decoding mixed signals. Not walking on eggshells.
It’s consistency. Feeling seen, wanted, appreciated and safe enough to say, “This hurt me,” without it turning into a war.
And it goes BOTH ways.
You can’t demand honesty and punish the truth. You can’t demand trust while creating doubt. You can’t ask for communication and get defensive when your partner actually communicates.
We want attraction. We want connection. I want compatibility. And we absolutely want peace.
But there’s another question we should all be asking:
What does loving ME feel like to them?
Because you’re not just choosing a partner.
You’re BEING one.
