Dagley's Boatworks

Dagley's Boatworks Boat building and repairs. Fibreglass / wood composite / wooden And last but not least, our prices are reasonable. We're proud to be continuing this tradition.

At Dagley's Boatworks we combine old-fashioned craftsmanship with new technology to custom-build or restore a boat that will give you years of enjoyment. Each project is carefully planned to suit your needs, then skillfully developed using wood-epoxy construction and durable low-VOC paints. The end result is a boat that handles well in the water, is pleasing to the eye and is easy to maintain. Our

projects range from dragon boats to sloops, canoes to Cape Island fishing boats, up to 40 feet in length. Whether it's new construction, repair, or a classic or commercial restoration, proprietor-builder, Scott Dagley, has over twenty years experience in satisfying clients. Our shop is located in Petite Riviere, Lunenburg County, on the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia, just 75 miles south-west of Halifax. Lunenburg County has a reputation centuries old for producing sturdy yet elegant maritime vessels. Yacht Restoration Scott Dagley, owner of Dagley's Boatworks, is a fourth generation boat builder and a graduate of the boatbuilding training course at the Nova Scotia Community College/LRVS (Class of '84.) In 1993 he opened Dagley's Boats, Petite Riviere after nine years as a boat builder at Covey Island Boatworks. Scott has gained a reputation for quality work completed on schedule. His philosophy, "I work on every boat as if were mine", has led to testimonials such as, "Scott built my boat better than new!". As a builder, he has repaired kayaks that have competing in the Worlds, one of which would go on to win a medal. In 2000, Scott became the first boat builder in Canada to produce wooden "baby" dragon boats and the first builder east of Ontario to build dragon boats of any size.
