Update:
* The boys were looking for work. They made contacts and got out fishing.
* If you are looking for work, and there is a boat fired up and preparing to depart - approaching the vessel on the floating dock and leaving thereafter could be an approach.
* Casually going on floating docks and boats would be equivalent to going in someones backyard without an invitation. Not welcome.

6/27/2026 - 2-3 guys prowling around boats.
"Around 0130 am there was a couple of younger guys going on every dock and some boats. When they showed up to mine and seen i was awake they said they were 'looking for a job'. I told them I didn't need anyone and then I watched them go on all the docks and go on a few boats. I went up and told them to get the f**k out of here. There was a driver in a car that they were with".

Representatives of the Port of Digby wish to thank MP Chris d'Entremont, and his staff, for arranging many meetings while we were in Ottawa. Our efforts to have the Port ready for the next generation of fishers will take a lot of cooperation and considerable time. 'This effort is a marathon, not a sprint'.
