She’s thick this morning, we are socked in fog, temp 14 C, wind light Westerly 5 knots.

Did you know, the tour yesterday was wonderful and my guests were entertained and admired by a mother calf pair and several other humpback whales. The flipper slapping and close approaches were greatly appreciated by all. What a time and the shouts of laughter were so great to hear.

This morning our first tour is departing at 8:30 am followed by our 12:30 pm tour. We did get some much needed rain , not enough but some. The birds will be able to take a bath in the puddles.

Something To Ponder, be humble and never think you are better than anyone else, for dust you are and dusts you shall return, think about that one a moment, always be kind.

Well, it is a grey overcast day, the first in a while, temp 25C, wind SE 11 with gusts to 15.

Did you know yesterday our tours were wonderful and the 4:30 pm tour was one for the books! What a show our guests were provided with, the whales did it all, flipper slapping, tail lobbing, chin breaching, breaching , they saw it all, memories made for sure.

Today our tour will be sailing at 12:30 pm. The talk of rain, has changed folks minds about the adventure. Some people don’t like rain, I honestly don’t mind it.

Something To Ponder, Think about this a moment. If you woke up this morning, you have already received something money can’t buy, a new day, be thankful and enjoy.

September 2 2026 4:30

It was a phenomenal time with Photon and her calf. Photon breached with a head on view! After the big breach she then went on to show off powerful tail lobbing with her calf by her side in the waves.
(Check previous post for video)

The waters erupted with a double breach not too far off and a 3rd single whale breach! It was hard to know where to look!

We moved along to watch Gully breach 25 times!

September is sensational and we are still sailing daily!

It has been a sensational start to September off Nova Scotia.

We have pectoral slapping and whales approaching so close (with the engine off of course!) that we could photograph their whale lice. Monday, August 31st on the 12:30pm tour. We we were watching a humpback named Southpaw- when another humpback, Gremlin, joined up and before long he took off for a breach! It was so exciting and our guests really enjoyed it. Humpback whale I.T wasn’t far behind, coming up for a few breaths and then diving deep into the bay.

The Diamonds are sparkling brightly this morning, amazing, temp 15 C, wind SW 13 knots with gusts to 20.
Did you know, our trips yesterday were amazing there were whales on all three trips and the excitement of breaching, flipper slapping, close approach were enjoyed! All the laughter and excitement was wonderful.

Our village we saddened by the passing of our oldest member of our community Raymond Robicheau, who was much loved by us all and will be greatly missed. Sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

You know last evening when I saw all of Raymond’s family gathered at the lodge I felt so emotional and so happy they could be all together and share in their sadness together and how proud their father was all them all . I was thinking back to June when I lost my much loved brother Danny and how broken hearted I was and still am and then I reflected on Raymond’s family how sad and broken hearted they all feel yet they gathered together and how wonderful it is to have each other to lean on no matter how sad each of them feel, he would be so proud, I can hear him chuckle now about how proud he was of them all, how wonderful Yet is hard to believe just around the corner there are happy people. Just like that the world does not cry with you no matter how sad we are and that’s why it is so important to love our families and be thankful each other and cherish the memories that were made together, forget the little misunderstanding if any and just love each each other because lets face it none of us are going to live forever.

Our first trip was at 8.30 am and will be followed by our 12.30 & 4.30 pm.

Something To Ponder, may the Sun be in your soul each morning , May peace be in your heart and may today bring you many Blessings to be thankful for.

Happy Sunday everyone, enjoy your day Earl, Love from home Donnie, Marion & Dakota, Kiaunie and the two little ones are still home with us , oh my heart, I am thankful X O
