Well it’s lift out day 2024. It was a great summer, lots of work done on the clubhouse (thank you Paul and helpers) with a bit more to be done in the spring. Thanks again to our members who constantly help out (Cal, Kev, Nathan, Harry, and C***k, and anyone I’ve forgotten) for keeping the grounds clean and safe. It was great seeing everyone throughout the summer. We’ll see some of you periodically (meetings and occasionally at the DYC cause the work never ends). Have a great (and short 🤞🏼) off season. Stay safe!

FISHERPEOPLE BEWARE! Recently, a traditional fisherperson reported catching an Eurasian Tench. These fish form dense populations and compete with native fish for food. They also carry non-native parasites that aren’t yet known in the Great Lakes Region, making them a potential disease risk. Tench are also a potential threat to water quality by their tendency to kick up mud and sediment, and consumption of zooplankton, which keeps harmful algal blooms in check. If you catch on of these fish, do not release them back into our waters. For more information or to report a capture, please contact Jay Wilkins or Tiernan Smith at (518)358-5937.

Wow, not something you'd think of but a great idea!
