Winter Schedule Announcement!

Sorry this is quite so late in coming, we've been scouring the budget to try and maximise our service! To that end, we're very glad to announce that we'll be adding Fridays to our rotation, and that we'll be in service in the morning on Thursdays, to help folks get to and from town for their errands.
Sorry to those hoping for service to the market on Saturday mornings, unfortunately we could only swing one morning. We hope in future to be able to fill that gap also!

In summary, our 2026/2027 winter service will be: Full day Thursday, and afternoon service Friday and Saturday!

We are looking at the possibility of being able to add an extra afternoon and/or a Saturday morning to our winter schedule.

Currently our October to May winter service runs Thursday afternoon and Saturday afternoon. If we could add in extra service, what day would you use most?

The September long weekend approaches!

We'll be saying goodbye to the Hornby Island Bus as it goes into hibernation after Sep 7th, but the Scuttlebus will still be out full time until the end of September!

Our winter schedule will be announced later this month.

We made 8 excellent benches for the community!

A huge thank you to The New Old Time Chautauqua, to Dylan and Crispin and all the other locals who showed up with their tools, expertise, time, and muscles to make these benches real. And another huge thank you to Antoine, John, Angus, and Dave for their generous donations of wood.

We'll be putting the finishing touches on the benches over this coming week, and then you'll start to see them out in the community! 🦀♥️
