CAPACITY UPDATE:

With the recent container crisis in Vancouver causing a backlog, and new container volumes arriving through the gateway it has created a shortage of chassis equipment being available within the dray sector.

The HAP transportation Group is pleased to announce we have added 100 brand new container chassis to our fleet to service the dray sector. The additional chassis will be in service in Q2 of this year.

JOB DUTIES:

Coordinating transportation services directly with customers, marine terminal operators, brokers and others in the supply chain.
Data entry into our customer service/dispatch software
Facilitating cross-border shipments into the US
Work individually and collaborate with our dispatch teams.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/experience in Transportation Management or Logistics
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Previous customer service experience is an asset
Strong organization skills and detail oriented
Strong time management skills
Problem solving in a changing environment
Microsoft Excel knowledge
Professional communication in both written and spoken English

SALARY:

$55,000 - $80,000 annually (Range depending on experience and skills)

HOURS:

Full – time position
Monday to Friday shifts between 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, ( Can change based on operational needs- some flexibility needed)

They aren't dressed as 🎅, but the engineers and crews who worked certainly saved Christmas for a lot of people. Reopening a catastrophically broken Coquihalla Hwy in 31 days after is definitely a feat for the history books.

The Coquihalla Hwy (Hwy 5) has reopened between Hope and Merritt to commercial vehicles. 🟢 🚛🚍🚌

The route is available to commercial vehicles with a minimum licensed gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 11,794 kilograms.

With most commercial vehicles moving to Hwy 5, travel restrictions will be lifted from Hw 3, at 8 am tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 21), allowing the route between Hope and Princeton to be used for non-essential travel.

Travel restrictions have also been lifted from Hwy 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet. However, vehicles over 14,500 kilograms LGVW are still not permitted on this section.

The Coquihalla was closed by multiple washouts on Nov. 14, and extensive repairs followed. More than 300 workers using 200 pieces of equipment moved more than 400,000 cubic metres of gravel, rock, and other material to repair and reopen the highway in just 35 days.

What you require for winter tires depends on where you live...

Due to milder winters in the Lower Mainland and southeastern Vancouver Island, drivers are not required to use winter tires in some areas (see black lines). However, they MUST have winter tires (M+S or "Mountain/Snowflake") to travel on the "orange highways," including the Malahat Hwy and Hwy 99 north from Horseshoe Bay.
