Dispatcher Needed!
Now Hiring: Tow & Recovery dispatcher
We are a busy and growing tow & recovery company looking for a reliable, calm and organized dispatcher to join our team for long term employment. Min 3 days a week with some overtime and filling in for other dispatchers (no night shifts). Competitive wages, medical, ltd and life ins available after 3 months.
Responsibilities:
-Answer incoming calls from customers, police and roadside assistance providers
-Dispatch tow and recovery drivers efficiently
-Gather accurate location and vehicle information
-Monitor jobs and update drivers in real time
-Provide professional and calm customer service in stressful situations
-compound management
Requirments:
-strong communication and multitasking skills
-ability to stay calm under pressure
-basic computer and phone skills
-reliable, punctual and professional attitude
-dispatch or tow experience an asset (but not required)

We are Looking for witnesses🙏

On September 6th /2025 @ 2pm South bound on Hwy 19 at the Dunster overpass a Mid Island Towing flat deck operator was attending a vehicle breakdown on the side of the hwy when a older Black Mazda or Hyundai sedan did NOT slow down or move over resulting in the operator sustaining a head injury trying to get out of the way to avoid a collision personally with that vehicle.

Introducing our spokesperson for women in the tow and recovery industry, Shay. Shay has spent the last five years in the towing industry, learning and becoming a huge asset to our tow family and shows no signs of slowing down - not to mention when she first started with the company, she pushed through pregnancy until she was 8 months along, while out on the road doing what she does best. She is consistently showing and inspiring women that they can thrive and excel in this industry.

If Shay isn’t towing, she is spending her time with her family, her beautiful daughter Danielle (the next best thing in the towing industry💪), hiking, camping & enjoying relaxation time when she can!

You will usually see Shay driving Truck 75 (Clifford the Big Red Dodge) and the two are inseparable. When you see her out on the road, please return a smile to her and give her a wave. 👋

Meet our new (Old? Again?) Manager, Tyson, a Wreckmaster level 6/7 operator. Tyson began as a driver for Georgia Straight Towing in December 2006, bringing years of experience in the industry with him, and by March 2007, he became the Operations Manager. After 15 years as OM, Tyson stepped back from management to run flatdeck for the company full-time, and to have a bit more time with his wife and son. Today, Tyson takes back up the helm as Operations Manager, feeling renewed and excited for the challenges ahead of him. With a passion for the industry, Tyson values professionalism, work ethics, and the physical/mental well-being of his team of Operators above all else.

In Tyson's spare time, he likes spending time outside with his family in our beautiful Valley, camping, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, kayaking, and, of course, daydreaming about tow trucks.

Though his duties now lay behind the scenes, look for Tyson sneaking out every now and then for a tow or recovery, and give him a wave or come say hello!
