North Star Practices

North Star Practices Founded in 2018 by floatplane operators and the British Columbia Forest Safety Council.

The North Star Practices (NSP) is a safety program created by the Air Carriers Safety Working Group with support from the British Columbia Forest Safety Council-(BCFSC). The Air Carriers Safety Working Group's role is to find safety enhancements for the commercial floatplane industry through shared knowledge and experience. The end result is the North Star Practices which when implemented into an Operator's SMS should help to diminish the potential for accidents.
