Is Disney’s Contemporary Resort worth it? Here’s my honest review!

After staying here recently, I can absolutely see why it’s such a popular choice, especially if Magic Kingdom is a priority. Being able to WALK to the park in under 10 minutes is hard to beat! 🙌🏼

But is it my favourite Disney resort? Honestly, no.

Here’s how I’d rate it ⭐️

🚶🏻‍♀️ Location for Magic Kingdom: 5/5
✨ Overall resort vibes: 3/5
🍽️ Food & shopping: 4.5/5
🏊🏼‍♀️ Pool: 3/5
🛏️ Room size: 5/5
📍 Garden Wing room location: 2/5
🎨 Overall Disney aesthetic: 2/5

The rooms are spacious, the Incredibles theming has some really fun hidden details, and the dining and shopping options are great. But the overall aesthetic feels more modern than magical to me, and my Garden Wing room felt pretty far from the main lobby.

That said, if you’re planning multiple Magic Kingdom days and want to avoid relying on Disney transportation, the convenience is a HUGE selling point.

✨ My verdict: A great choice for location, but not my personal favourite Disney property!

Hot take: I think a Disney Cruise might be the BEST multigenerational family vacation. 👀🚢✨

Grandparents, parents, kids… everyone gets the Disney magic, but you don’t have to be together 24/7. 😂

If you’re coordinating multiple cabins and all the little details, having someone help (ahem, me!) make it easy is HUGE.

Make the memories while you still can. Kids aren’t little forever and time with grandparents is a gift. ❤️✨

Pumpkins, Halloween treats and a little spooky magic… October at Disney is pretty hard to beat. 🎃👻

I mean, look at all these fall details! Even the Disney Cruise Line ships get in on the Halloween fun. 🚢

But here’s the crazy part… 30 days from now, it will all be Christmas. 😂🎄 The pumpkins will be gone, the trees will be up and suddenly we’ll be talking about peppermint everything.
