"Kids these days..."

"... Don't know what real work is."

So say the older generations, as we stumble 2-4 decades into the good ol' 9-to-5 with back pain 🫨 a dark sense of humor 🤭 and surviving largely on spite and caffeine ☕️🧋

But, kids these days DO take on real work 💪😁
And this young gentleman has been a shining example for us "old farts" over the past year.

Meet Musaid 👋
Full-time student, works every shift he can fit into an already busy schedule, goes the extra mile during deliveries, keeps constant communication with our team, shows up for his family - and somewhere in between all of that, he's navigating young adulthood, traveling, fishing, building a future, and apparently finding more hours in a day than the rest of us 🎣😂

Musaid is one of our medical delivery drivers, and over the past year, having him on our team has been an absolute hoot.
We've received numerous kudos from nursing staff about his work. The hospice centres he delivers to have specifically praised how polite, respectful, and patient he is 🤩🤩
Those deliveries require more than simply getting a package from point A to point B. Hospice environments deserve patience, discretion, compassion, and an awareness of the people and families around you 🫂
Musaid understands that. He handles those deliveries like a pro and brings professionalism to the table - every - single - day 💪😁

What we've come to appreciate the most is the young man behind the deliveries - hard-working without needing applause for it, he is dependable and respectful. He's close with his family, he takes pride in what he does, and whether he's behind the wheel making medical deliveries, holding up the days catch, traveling with family, or working towards whatever comes next, he seems to put a genuine effort into the life he's building 🥰

We know MileStone isn't his final destination, and one day he will walk through those doors to give us his notice. When the day arrives, it will be bittersweet, but we will be damn proud of him 💪😁

Until then! We're pretty lucky to have "one of these kids" on our team 🤩

The Instability Event

(Before I begin, I do hope everyone is reading these in their head with a David Attenborough accent)

Researchers documented a freight instability event 🧐 An event following a routine transportation cycle 🚚💨 Initial observations suggested a sudden collapse within the cargo habitat ‼️🛑

Looking at these photos, I can't help but think about all the things that get passed down.

Not just tools, hobbies, or skills - but work ethic, determination, the willingness to help, and the ability to figure things out.

My dad passed many of those things on to me.
And every day, I watch Red pass them on to our kids.
