One thing that's different about this Disneyland Resort trip compared to a family vacation? 🤔

I'll be looking at everything through a travel advisor lens. 🔍

Of course I'll still enjoy the rides, food, and Disney magic, but I'll also be paying attention to the details most guests don't think about—hotel locations, transportation, room types, dining experiences, crowd flow, and all the little things that can make a big difference when planning a trip.

It's a completely different perspective, and honestly one of my favorite parts of these educational trips. The more I experience firsthand, the better I can help my clients choose the Disney vacation that's right for them.

Next week is going to be my very first visit to Disney California Adventure. It didn't exist the last time I was at the Disneyland Resort 25+ years ago. 🤯

One of the things I'm most excited to experience there isn't a ride or a snack.

It's the LANDS.

🎈 Pixar Pier

Exploring entire themed areas that are completely new to me is going to be wild and oh so wonderful. I'm going to need a map to get around, which is pretty strange for a Disney expert like me. 🗺️

One of the biggest surprises in the Disney community is how many people swear Disneyland has better food.

Not better than Disney World's best restaurants.

Better overall.

As someone who spends a lot of time helping clients navigate Disney dining, that's a claim I need to investigate personally. 🍽️

Next week I'll be testing:

🍔 Quick-service meals
🍿 Signature snacks
🍰 Fan-favorite treats

Can a resort with only two parks really compete with the dining variety of Disney World?

I'll be documenting everything and reporting back with my findings.

I had a great pre-trip call yesterday with the Disney Business Development Manager who will be hosting my Travel Agent Education (FAM) trip to Disneyland Resort next week!

We talked about all the incredible properties we'll be touring, including Disneyland Resort's three Disney-owned resorts as well as several nearby Good Neighbour Hotels that are just a short walk from the theme parks.

One thing that makes Disneyland Resort unique is that it has only three official Disney hotels, and all three are deluxe-level resorts with fantastic theming, immersive Disney touches, incredible dining, and some truly impressive Club Level offerings. They're absolutely amazing—but they aren't the right fit for every budget.

That's why I'm looking forward to gaining a deeper understanding of the more moderately priced hotel options nearby. Many of these properties offer excellent value while still putting you just minutes from the magic!

I can't wait to experience these hotels firsthand so I can help my clients find the perfect stay near Disneyland—whether they're looking for deluxe Disney luxury or a budget-friendly option that keeps them close to the parks. Stay tuned for updates from California next week! ✨🏰🎢

Disneyland fans insist many of their rides are better in California than what I know and love in Orlando.

And honestly? I'm skeptical. 😏

Next week, I'll be putting some of the most talked-about Disneyland attractions to the test.

I've heard:
✨ Haunted Mansion is better.
✨ Space Mountain is better.
✨ Big Thunder Mountain is better.
✨ "it's a small world" is better.

Those are some pretty bold claims.

Unfortunately, Pirates of the Caribbean is closed during my visit (which is probably the attraction I was most excited to compare! 😭), but that just means I'll have to focus on the rest of Disneyland's legendary lineup.

I'll share my completely unbiased (okay, maybe slightly biased) Disney professional opinion of these classics when I ride'em next week!

Could Disneyland actually do some iconic attractions better than Walt Disney World?

I feel like I’m constantly seeing posts from Disney World pros heading to Disneyland for the very first time… and next week, that’s gonna be me! (Well, first time in 25 years!) ✨🏰

I’m heading to California for an incredible Agent Education Program, and I cannot wait to experience Disneyland firsthand. As someone who knows the magic of Walt Disney World and Disney Cruises like the back of my hand, I’m excited to learn all the similarities, differences, hidden gems, and tips that will help my clients make the most of their Disneyland vacations.

When I get back, I’ll be ready to level up my Disneyland planning skills — especially for families and Disney fans who already know and love Disney World and Disney Cruises and want to experience the original Disney magic on the West Coast. 🌴✨

Don't worry. They're keep the Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow song. 🎶😅

Throwback Thursday to 18 years ago exploring the real-life fairytale castle — Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪🏰

Crazy to think this was the castle that inspired Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle, and even more special that I got to experience it with my former German roommate from our Disney World days back in 2002–2003. ✨

From working in Epcot to standing in front of the castle that helped inspire the magic… full circle moment before I even realized it. Some friendships and memories really do stand the test of time. ❤️
