Young Life is starting a new Christian-based Wed lunch program on Sept 9th at Southwood Hall for any kids attending Panabaker this year & they provide the lunch! (Young Life of Canada is a Christian youth organization that builds friendships with teenagers through mentoring, activities & camps while creating opportunities to explore the Christian faith.)

Well it was a rough start with the craziest thunderstorm we’ve seen this spring, but we made the best of it! Thanks to everyone who came out to Rhubarbfest over the weekend, we look forward to gathering as a community again this summer. Stay tuned for info on our next event:)

We are so excited to have Hurricane Felix and the Manikmen performing this Saturday at Rhubarbfest!
Bring your dancing shoes and head down to the Southwood community centre on Saturday June 20th from 1-5pm for live music, kids activities, Facepainting, bbq, beers and all things rhubarb!

After his first band, “The Handsome Devils”, Hurricane Felix and the Southern Twisters kicked into the cow tix and the Manik Men! Alongside “Mad Maddy” his Double bass and started slappin’ to influences such as Johnny Burnette, Charlie Feathers, Bill Browning, Johnny Carol and more. He later picked his guitar back up a and started the Manik Men. When you hear the Rockabilly, h***y tonk blues, it adds up to Hurricane Felix & The Manik Men.
